David Bounie

David Bounie serves as the Head of Economics and Social Sciences at Télécom Paris since 2015, focusing on financial inclusion in developing countries with consulting and research missions in French African nations. As a Digital Finance Expert at Cartes Bancaires CB since 2005, David Bounie conducts research on consumer payment choices and payment innovations. Additionally, David Bounie co-founded the Research Chair in Digital Finance at the Institut Louis Bachelier in 2018, emphasizing topics like digital payments and financial inclusion, in partnership with several financial institutions. David Bounie was also a member of the Scientific Committee at CESP from 2012 to 2017, engaging in international audits and media research. David Bounie holds a PhD in Economics from Télécom Paris, obtained in 2002.
