Chiara Crestani

Chiara Crestani is a Medical Scientist at Institut Pasteur, starting in January 2025, following a role as Project Manager at the same institution from October 2021 to September 2024, where responsibilities included enhancing a global community focused on microbiological studies and genomic surveillance of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Previous experience includes managing the Canine Blood Bank and working in hematology at Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie in Italy, a guest researcher position at Cornell University assessing media for Mycoplasma detection, and a junior veterinarian internship in clinical microbiology. Chiara Crestani holds a PhD in Infectious Diseases - Bacterial Genomics from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Bologna.
