Monique Lafon

Monique Lafon is a prominent figure in the field of virology and neuroscience, serving as a scientific advisor and cofounder at Neurophoenix since August 2018. Lafon has been associated with Institut Pasteur since January 1983, where the individual holds key positions including Head of the Viral Neuro-Immunology Laboratory and Director of the Virology Department, overseeing 21 research units focused on human pathogenic viruses and housing various National Reference Centres. Prior to this, Lafon was a research assistant at the Wistar Institute from 1980 to 1982. The educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from Université Paris Cité and an Agrégation in Biology from Ecole normale supérieure.
