Maria Arista Romero

Maria Arista Romero, Ph.D., serves as the Events and Communications Officer at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) since September 2022, specializing in the organization of various scientific events and stakeholder engagements. Maria also manages general activities for Mision Tokyo, an online magazine dedicated to Japanese culture, since June 2016. Previous roles include Commercial Manager and Scientific Communicator at Eduscopi, Communication and Marketing of Events at FICOMIC, and organizing contests for the Manga Barcelona convention. Maria completed a PhD in Nanoscience at the Universitat de Barcelona and holds multiple degrees in Bioengineering and Molecular Genetics, complemented by specialized training in scientific communication.
