Deicy Garcia - Velasco is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in various roles within the field of psychology. Currently serving as a Mental Health Clinician at Coral Gables Wellness Center and a Mental Health Therapist at the Institute for Child & Family Health, Inc. since May 2006, Deicy specializes in developing individualized treatment plans and leading substance abuse prevention group therapy for youth. Previous positions include Substance Abuse Counselor at Atlanta Psychological Evaluation, where Deicy focused on reintegration of inmates, and Substance Abuse Prevention Program Coordinator at Abriendo Puertas, overseeing programs for high-risk children and mentoring interns. The Institute for Child and Family Health (ICFH) - formerly the Children's Psychiatric Center (CPC) - is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing health, behavioral health, educational, and prevention services to the children, adolescents, and families of Miami-Dade County since 1945. It is one of the oldest and largest community health centers exclusively dedicated to the well being of children and families in the state of Florida. ICFH serves over 30,000 children, adolescents, and families per year.
