Hala al-Tinawi

Hala Al-Tinawi, MPA, serves as the Administrative Coordinator at the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University since January 2022. Prior to this role, Hala worked as an Executive Assistant to the Secretary of Education in the Office of the Governor of Virginia from June 2020 to January 2022. Hala’s experience also includes teaching history at AL MADINA SCHOOL OF RICHMOND and interning at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture and Children's Museum of Richmond. Hala is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in General Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University, building on a Master’s degree in Public Administration and dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Psychology.
