Peter Reilly

Principal Associate at Institute for Employment Studies

Peter Reilly has a strong and diverse work experience. Peter started their career at Shell in 1979, where they held various roles including Regional Personnel Adviser in the ME, India & west Africa region. In 1986, they joined Thornton Research at Shell. In 1995, they moved to the Institute for Employment Studies as Director of HR Research & Consultancy, a position they held until 2014. During this time, they also founded their own consultancy firm, PAR HR Research & Consultancy Services, where they served as Director until 2019. Peter then pursued their master's degree at The University of Edinburgh from 2020 to 2022. Peter later joined the Institute for Employment Studies again in 2014, this time as a Principal Associate.

Peter Reilly attended Bishop Challoner's School in Shortlands, Kent from 1960 to 1971. Peter obtained a BA in History & Politics from the University of Cambridge from 1971 to 1974. Following this, they pursued an MA in Politics & Government at the University of Kent from 1974 to 1975. Recently, they completed a Masters by research in American contemporary history at The University of Edinburgh from 2020 to 2022.
