David Smith

David Smith is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in the energy and mechanical sectors. Currently serving as a maintenance engineer, radiation-protection engineer, and operator at the Institute for Energy Technology since August 2018, David specializes in operating nuclear research reactors. Prior to this role, David worked as a project engineer at COWI from July 2012 to August 2018 and gained hands-on experience as a qualified truck and bus mechanic at MAN truck & bus b.v. from August 2005 to November 2007, following a two-year apprenticeship. David's career began as an armored engineer in the Norwegian Armed Forces, serving as a corporal from August 2004 to June 2005, where military training included working with various tools and weaponry.
