Mário Silva is an experienced professional in the fields of chemistry and chemical technology with a diverse background in research, business development, and environmental consultancy. Currently serving as an Advisor/Business Developer and Research Scientist at the Institute for Energy Technology since April 2018, Mário's work focuses on analytical chemistry and the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures. Previously, as a PhD Candidate at The National IOR Centre of Norway, Mário developed phase-partitioning tracers for complex geological systems. Early career roles include research in green chemistry at REQUIMTE and technical management at a commercial chemistry laboratory. Mário holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Technology from the University of Stavanger and advanced degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
