Nils Olav Solum is an experienced engineer with a career spanning several decades, currently working at the Institute For Energy Technology since October 1993, specializing in material technology, microscopy, SEM, RAMAN spectroscopy, imaging, analysis, and reporting. Prior to this role, Nils Olav served as a laboratory technician at KONGSBERG from June 1988 to September 1993, contributing to the development and testing of infrared detectors for the Penguin missile. Earlier experience includes work as a laboratory technician at Dyno Industrier from June 1982 to June 1988, where responsibilities evolved from factory work to laboratory activities focused on monodisperse polymer particles. Nils Olav holds a diploma in electronics as a Fagskoleingeniør from Fagskolen i Vestfold, obtained between 2007 and 2009, alongside numerous educational experiences at Høyskolen i Sørøst-Norge and Høyskolen i Buskerud.
