Caitlyn Steiner

Director, Central Computation at Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation

Caitlyn Steiner, MPH, is an Assistant Director for Research Management at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). In this role, she provides leadership, management, and supervision within the Global Burden of Diseases enterprise in order to deliver timely, high-quality, and policy-relevant results as part of an ongoing production process for key health indicators. Caitlyn started working on the GBD Study at IHME in 2013, assisting with coordinating nonfatal health outcomes estimates, as well as communications with the GBD network of experts. She helped lead the transition to regular updating of the GBD results, moving from semi-regular publication to consistent publication in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Caitlyn earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and her Master of Public Health from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
