Laurent Grosvenor

Chief Diversity Officer at Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation

Laurent Grosvenor is the Chief Diversity Officer at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. Laurent is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and facilitation to ensure IHME meets the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) objectives, both internally, through their organizational culture, and externally, through their research and policy impact. Additionally, Laurent works directly with the DEI Council and Employee Resource Groups. In previous positions, Laurent has acquired experience related to diversity and inclusion initiatives, strategic planning, and people operations in various organizations. Originally from Manchester, England, Laurent moved to the US for higher education and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Oakwood University and an MBA from Baylor University. He also received his certification in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University. Laurent’s work is grounded in and guided by IHME’s four DEI pillars of objectivity, belonging, voice and growth. He seeks to ensure that every employee, regardless of tenure or level, feels that they can bring their whole self to work.

IHME was established at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2007. Its mission is to deliver to the world timely, relevant, and scientifically valid evidence to improve health policy and practice.
