Simon Hay

Simon Hay currently serves as the Director of Research Strategy and Professor of Health Metrics Sciences at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, where responsibilities include leading strategic research planning and advancing geospatial techniques in health metrics. Prior to this, Simon held multiple roles at the University of Oxford, including Professor of Epidemiology and Reader of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, focusing on malaria research and the impact of environmental changes on disease epidemiology. Simon Hay's educational background includes a D.Sc. and D.Phil. in Epidemiology from the University of Oxford, as well as a B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Bristol.
