Isabel Hilton OBE is an accomplished journalist and academic with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Associate Fellow at RUSI Europe and Chair of the Baillie Gifford Prize for non-fiction, Isabel also holds positions as Board Co-Chair for The Bureau of Investigative Journalism and Contributing Editor at Prospect Magazine. As a Non-Executive Director at E3G and Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Centre for Investigative Journalism, Isabel demonstrates a strong commitment to investigative reporting and climate action. With a long-standing role as a Visiting Professor at King's College London and a member of the International Advisory Board at the Institute for Human Rights and Business, Isabel contributes significantly to education and human rights. Previously, Isabel founded The China Dialogue Trust, transforming it into a global nonprofit newsroom. An alumnus of The University of Edinburgh, Isabel holds multiple degrees in Chinese Language and Literature, further highlighting a distinguished academic background.
