David P.

David P. serves as the Deputy Planning Chief for the Wakulla County Division of Emergency Management since May 2023 and is additionally a General & High Liability Instructor at the Florida Public Safety Institute from January 2023. With prior experience as a Lieutenant in the Reserve Unit of law enforcement, David P. has a comprehensive background in security, community event management, and emergency response. David’s technical expertise is highlighted through a long tenure as a Senior Application/Web Developer at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research since May 2006, where skills in SQL Server, C#, MVC, and other technologies are utilized for developing applications supporting law enforcement training. Previous roles include serving as a police officer with the Florida A&M University Department of Campus Safety and Security and a deputy with the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office. David P. holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University and a Florida Law Enforcement Certification from the Florida Public Safety Institute.
