Alex Dews

Alex Dews is a seasoned professional in sustainability and program management, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Programs at the Institute for Market Transformation since August 2021. Prior experience includes leadership as Executive Director at Green Building United from January 2015 to August 2021, and roles in academia as an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson University and Part-time Lecturer at Tulane University. Alex has a robust background in sustainability policy, having worked in the City of Philadelphia's Mayor's Office of Sustainability, and started a career as a Research and Development Coordinator at Brown Schroeder and Associates. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Anthropology from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Design from Thomas Jefferson University.
