Carol Meyer

Carol B. Meyer serves as the Executive Director and CEO of the Institute For Medical Research, Inc., a position held since February 2024, where leadership is provided to a VA-affiliated research organization focused on facilitating externally-funded research and education. Carol Meyer has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, having founded Carol Meyer Consulting in October 2002, and previously served as Executive Director of US Chess, where significant organizational transformation occurred from a 501(c)(4) to a 501(c)(3). Other leadership roles include President and CEO of The Carolinas Center, Executive Director of the Foundation for Earth Science, and Deputy Executive Director of Justice Fellowship, among others. Carol B. Meyer holds a BA in Political Science from Stony Brook University, an MBA from Meredith College, and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
