Aasha Abdill

Aasha is the Strategy and Learning Manager, Public Square at Democracy Fund, an independent. Aasha supports program learning and strategy development, develops metrics, and manages external evaluation consultants for the Public Square team. Prior to Democracy Fund, Aasha was an independent research and evaluation consultant working with community-based organizations and local and state initiatives committed to addressing the systemic barriers to reducing racial and ethnic disparities in outcome achievement for youth, families and communities. Abdill holds a masters in quantitative methodology from Columbia University and a doctorate in sociology from Princeton University with concentrations in organizational theory, race and ethnic studies, and community studies. For undergraduate studies, she is a proud alumna of a historically Black college, Spelman College, and even prouder alumna of the Brooklyn School of Hard Knocks.
