Jerry L. Hawkins

Jerry L. Hawkins, M.Ed., serves as the Executive Director of Dallas Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Texas Christian University. As a co-founder and principal of The Imagining Freedom Institute, Hawkins plays a significant role in fostering social impact initiatives. Hawkins also holds a fellowship with the Black Leadership Institute, aimed at empowering senior-level Black leaders. Previous roles include serving as a Bridging Fellow with Independent Sector and as a Presidential Leadership Scholar. Significant achievements include establishing the Bachman Lake Together collective impact initiative and managing children's services at The Wilkinson Center. Educational credentials include a Master's in Education from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University.
