Yi-Chin Chen

Yi-Chin Chen currently serves as the Executive Director at Friends of the Children-Boston, a position held since January 2016. In addition, Yi-Chin has been practice seminar faculty at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice since September 2015. Previous roles include Interim Executive Director and Deputy Director at Hyde Square Task Force, where Yi-Chin was involved from 2003 to 2015 in various capacities such as Director of Lifelong Learning and Economic Development and Program Coordinator for Paths to College and Career. Early career experience includes research assistant at Boston University School of Social Work and mentoring program coordinator at GEAR UP. Yi-Chin holds a Master of Social Work from Boston University and several leadership credentials, including participation in the Aspen Institute's Seminar on Leadership and the Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Award program.
