Kyrre Lekve

Kyrre Lekve is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in management, public relations, and lobbying within various research and political organizations. Currently serving as the Director at the Institute for Social Research since August 2023, Kyrre has previously held significant roles including Deputy Managing Director at Simula Research Laboratory, Deputy Director at the Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education, and Special Advisor at the Norwegian Research Council. Additional experiences encompass positions as Political Advisor in the Ministry of Education and Research and Statssekretær for Sosialistisk Venstreparti. Kyrre Lekve holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Oslo, where studies were completed between 1989 and 2004. Prior roles also include a postdoctoral position focused on Marine Biology and early career experience as a journalist.
