Floyd Garr III has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Floyd began their career in 2012 as a Purchasing Agent at DENIOS US, Inc. before joining Garr Plumbing / Garr Services in 1999, where they held various positions for their family's plumbing company. At GE, Floyd served as a Sourcing Specialist from 2016 to 2017, then moved to GE Appliances, a Haier company, where they worked as a Commodity Buyer from 2017 to 2020 and later as a Senior Purchasing Program Manager from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they are employed at Clariant as a Sourcing Leader for Equipment & Investments in the Americas since 2021. Additionally, Floyd is appointed as the Vice President of the Louisville Chapter at the Institute for Supply Management starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Floyd has gained experience in various roles with responsibilities ranging from tactical to strategic duties.
Floyd Garr III obtained a Bachelor's degree from Bellarmine University, where they studied for five years from 2003 to 2008. In addition, they completed two additional certification courses: "How to Make Strategic Thinking a Habit" at LinkedIn, which they obtained in December 2020, and "15 Secrets Successful People Know about Time Management (getAbstract Summary)" at LinkedIn, which they obtained in November 2020.
