Sharon Sweeney is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in healthcare management and education. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Quality and Innovation at the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health since August 2025, Sharon also holds an adjunct associate professorship at Griffith University's School of Business. Previous roles include Executive Manager positions at Brisbane North PHN, focusing on strategy, commissioning, and community care system improvement, as well as Executive Director of Primary and Community Care at South West Hospital and Health Service. Sharon has a background in managing primary health interfaces, digital health implementation, and workforce development. With a Master's degree in Health Services Management from Griffith University and a Master's in Population Health from The Australian National University, coupled with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Queensland, Sharon is well-equipped to lead strategic initiatives within the health sector.
