Eric Wilson is currently an advisor at the Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning. Prior to this, they were the Director of Supply and Demand Planning at Escalade Sports from June 2017 to November 2019. In this role, they were responsible for complete supply chain and digital transformation for the enterprise as well as development and oversight of business analytics, data and reporting, forecasting, supply, purchasing, and planning strategies. Eric also created and implemented new S&OP and business efficiency planning processes (BEP).

Before their time at Escalade Sports, Wilson was the Director of Demand Planning at Berry Plastics Corporation from May 2016 to May 2017. In this role, they were responsible for building and developing a world-class demand planning team and driving the enterprise to a demand-driven organization. Eric successfully completed a joint value project with Berry’s top customer CPFR.

Wilson also has experience as a Director of Demand Planning and S&OP at Tempur Sealy International from November 2006 to May 2016. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team of analysts who were responsible for forecasting, sales analysis, customer service support, new product launches, and inventory management.

In addition to their corporate roles, Wilson has also been a content creator and host for the IBF on Demand Podcast. In this role, they interviewed industry leaders and shared their insights on various business topics.

Wilson began their career as an Operations Manager at Big Chief from May 2005 to March 2006. In this role, they were responsible for managing the production floor and overseeing the shipping department.

Eric Wilson has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wright State University. Eric also has two certifications from the Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning: Advanced Certified Business Forecaster (ACPF) and Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF). Lastly, they have a certification from APICS in Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
