Rowland Robinson

ICWA Global Public Health Fellow at Institute of Current World Affairs

Rowland Robinson is currently serving as an ICWA Global Public Health Fellow at the Institute of Current World Affairs, focusing on public policy approaches to substance use and addiction in the Netherlands, Portugal, and Brazil. Previously, Rowland held the position of Legislative Assistant for Veterans Affairs to Senator Angus S. King, Jr., leading a policy portfolio that resulted in nine original bipartisan bills, one of which became law. Rowland's experience includes roles such as Defense Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant in the Senator's office, Opioid Response Project Manager for the State of Maine, and Field Organizer for the Warren for President campaign, demonstrating a strong background in public policy, research, and community organizing. Rowland holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Northeastern University and a certificate from the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies.
