John is Director of Development and Grants. John partners with funders, leadership, and analysts across the globe to identify and meet organizational needs to drive the mission and success of IEEFA.

As a fundraising and operations professional for over 14 years, John has demonstrated success in building strong partnerships that empower disadvantaged stakeholders and effect meaningful outcomes. John is skilled in fostering cross functional and inter-organizational collaborations; developing successful, multi-year strategies for sustained growth; and crafting compelling funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and funder objectives.

John has successfully led fundraising teams to support and grow nonprofit missions, securing significant philanthropic support from foundations, corporations, government sources, and individuals. He has also led operations, design, and construction teams through high-profile, large-scale expansion projects, including the transformation of an inner-city school campus to a community hub of partners dedicated to mitigating the effects of poverty.

John holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and History and a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from John Carroll University.

When not working, you can find John with his wife and son on the trail, building Legos, backyard gardening, or debating life’s age-old question of when to introduce your child to Star Wars.
