Simon Nicholas

Simon Nicholas is an energy finance analyst at the Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis. Prior to this, they worked at Commonwealth Bank from March 2011 to February 2015 as a product controller in the Equity Products Group. In this role, they were responsible for preparing, reporting and analyzing the daily P&L for the group, completing trade reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items, financial reporting and control for the group, and completing the monthly "Directors Questionnaire" to support balances. Simon also supported new product development for the front office, ad-hoc queries from front office and other areas of finance, and made and maintained holding adjustments in the risk management system as requested by front office and operations.

Simon Nicholas has a Master's Degree in Environmental Management from the Universilty of New South Wales, a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Imperial College London, and a High School diploma in International Baccalaureate from Anglo-European School, Ingatestone, UK.
