Susan Torres is a Senior Public Relations Specialist at the Institute of Energy Economics and Financial Analysis. Susan has over ten years of experience working in communications and media relations. Prior to their current position, Susan was the Public Information Officer for the New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department, a Legislative Aide for Conservation Voters New Mexico & CVNM Education Fund, and the Communications Director for the New Mexico Wildlife Federation. Susan has also worked as a Membership Manager for the New York League of Conservation Voters, a New Media Manager for New York Cares, and a Marketing Promotions Specialist for CheapOair. Susan began their career as an intern, working in marketing and communications for Next New Networks and as a proofreader for Language Services. Susan also interned with Environment Massachusetts as a media intern and with Boston.com as a correspondent/web producer. Susan has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northeastern University.

Susan Torres graduated from Franklin High School. Susan then attended Northeastern University, where they earned their BA. After working for a few years, they decided to pursue a Master of Arts at Miami University. Susan has also completed a certification program in persuasive communication from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education.
