Ray Deatherage

Ray Deatherage, MBA, currently serves as the Director of Education and Training at the Gas Technology Institute, where responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, developing, and deploying immersive training technologies within the energy industry. Prior to this role, Ray held various leadership positions at Peoples Gas Company, including Manager of Technical Training and Leader of Gas Training & Operations Qualifications, overseeing multi-company operational units and managing training programs for natural gas operations. Ray's extensive experience in training and qualifications began at North Shore Gas Company, where supervision of gas training and operations was a key focus. Ray holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a BS in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University, along with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Purdue University.
