Alex Hewitt

Alex Hewitt is an experienced professional in learning and development, currently serving as a Learning and Development Partner at GNS Science since November 2022. Prior roles include Learning and Development Advisor at Lockheed Martin from August 2020 to November 2022, and National Moderation Advisor at MITO New Zealand for a brief period in 2020. Alex previously spent 14 years at WelTec, first as an Academic Staff Member and later as a Senior Academic Staff Member in Hospitality Management. The career began in hospitality operations, holding various management positions at Skyline Restaurant and Function Centre, as well as James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor. Alex holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied E-learning from Manukau Institute of Technology, along with multiple qualifications from WelTec, including a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and certificates in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education, and Adult Education.
