Geologist & Programme Leader at GNS Science

Specialist in geoscience information, particularly geological map-based, with experience field mapping complexly deformed and metamorphosed basement terranes in western and northern South Island as well as other parts of New Zealand, Western Australia, Northern Territory, Tasmania and South Victoria Land. Applies geological knowledge to support research into tectonics, basement geology and surface geochemistry and to support New Zealand resource exploration and infrastructure. Currently leads GNS's Nationally Significant Databases and Collection research programme with interests in geoscience data management and dissemination. Actively involved in national and international research data groups including CGI-IUGS working groups on geoscience terminology and geological data models and the Australia-NZ Government Geoscience Information Committee.
