Lisa Harvey-Smith

Lisa Harvey-Smith is currently serving on the Quad Fellowship International Advisory Board at the Institute of International Education, beginning in September 2024, and as Chief Executive Officer of Out For Australia since July 2024. In addition, Lisa has held multiple academic roles at UNSW, including Professor of Practice and Australian Government Women in STEM Ambassador since January 2017. Other positions include Adjunct Professor at Western Sydney University and author for Thames & Hudson Australia, with notable publications such as "When Galaxies Collide." Previous experience includes being a research group leader and research astronomer at CSIRO from September 2009 to October 2018, and a TV presenter on "Stargazing Live" for ABC television in 2018. Lisa holds a PhD in Astrophysics from The University of Manchester and has completed directorship courses at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
