Elizabeth Jones is a seasoned researcher in chemical oceanography with a focus on carbonate chemistry and ocean acidification, currently serving as a researcher at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in Norway since April 2017. Prior experiences include postdoctoral fellowships and positions at prominent institutes such as the University of Groningen, Alfred Wegener Institute of Polar and Marine Research, and NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research. Elizabeth has significantly contributed to research on the effects of ocean acidification in various polar and northern waters and has been involved in numerous Antarctic expeditions. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia and an MSci in Natural Sciences from Durham University.
