Carissa Kowalski Dougherty serves as the Director of Knowledge Management at The Morton Arboretum, where responsibilities include enhancing internal communication, organizational learning, and asset management through interdisciplinary collaboration and project management. In addition to this role, Carissa is the Chief Questionologist at Transformative Questions, a consultancy aimed at empowering non-profit leaders in the cultural sector. Carissa has served as a Reviewer for the Institute of Museum and Library Services and previously owned ckd media, a business focused on writing and editing design-related publications. Prior experience includes leadership positions at The Art Institute of Chicago, where Carissa managed collections-related projects and served as a metadata expert. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Architecture History, Theory, and Criticism from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
