Carla Wilson

Carla Wilson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government affairs and advocacy within the museum and library sectors. Currently serving as a Government Affairs Officer at the Institute of Museum and Library Services since 2012, Carla has previously held the position of Assistant Director of Government Relations and Advocacy at the American Association of Museums from 2008 to 2012. Carla's career in legislative assistance began in the U.S. Senate as a Constituent Service Representative from January 2000 to January 2001, followed by a role as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2001 to December 2006. Carla Wilson earned a degree from James Madison University between 1996 and 1999.
