Kate Rice has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Kate began their career as a Peer Facilitator and Honors College Office Assistant at the College of Charleston, where they answered inquiries, maintained student records, and enrolled students in courses. Kate then worked as an Expansion Consultant for Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, founding and organizing chapters at various colleges and universities.

Kate later joined the University of Wisconsin - Madison as a Teaching Assistant, where they designed and implemented curricula for undergraduate courses and provided instruction on translation, writing, and critical thinking skills. Kate also edited and graded student work.

Following this, Kate worked at the Writing Center at the University of Wisconsin - Madison as a T.A. Fellow. Their responsibilities included supporting students in their writing processes.

In 2014, Kate joined the Institute of Reading Development as an Instructor, helping students of various ages improve their reading and critical thinking skills. Kate built strong relationships with students, parents, and faculty members at partner institutions.

Kate then took on roles at the Institute of Reading Development, starting as a Teaching Logistics Coordinator. In this position, they coordinated materials shipments, teaching schedules, and travel arrangements for Institute instructors across the United States. Kate also collected and analyzed instructor data and collaborated with partner organizations to recruit new instructors.

Later on, Kate became a Research and Development Coordinator, conducting research and outreach to aid the development of new business initiatives, such as email distribution and monitoring processes, app redesigns, and video production techniques. Kate also explored new channels for customer engagement.

Currently, Kate works as a Marketing Strategist & Content Developer at the Institute of Reading Development. Their responsibilities include creating innovative marketing campaigns aligned with the company's core values, drafting compelling copy for email, web, and social marketing, and driving the strategy and creative design process for the campaigns.

Kate Rice completed their education at the following institutions:

- From 2004 to 2008, they attended the College of Charleston, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.

- From 2009 to 2011, they pursued further education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.

- Finally, from 2009 to 2015, Kate Rice completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
