Elaine McDaid

Lecturer In Singing at Institute of the Arts Barcelona

Elaine McDaid is a distinguished lecturer in singing at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona since September 2023 and has extensive experience in the music field, currently performing as a chorus member for INTERMEZZO and Òpera a Catalunya. McDaid has worked as a freelance lyric soprano since December 2015, and has held positions as an associate artist at Northern Ireland Opera and Opera Studio Molise. Previous roles include Programme Leader for Primary Music at Saint Nicholas Montessori Primary School, and music teacher and director at Sing Street Music in Dublin. McDaid's educational background includes a Masters in Music (Performance) from Technological University Dublin and an LL.B in Law from Trinity College Dublin.
