Chris McCallum is a Principal Sustainability Consultant at Tetra Tech Europe since September 2022 and an Associate at the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) since April 2022. Previously, Chris served as the General Manager of the Mushroom Producer Organisation, managing operational programs and stakeholder relationships, and contributing to policy frameworks. Chris's academic background includes a Ph.D. focused on biomass transformation from Queen's University Belfast, where prior roles included Visiting Scholar, Postgraduate/PhD Student, and Research Assistant. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at Letterkenny Institute of Technology and The Bryden Centre, Chris engaged in extensive research on bioenergy and marine energy, emphasizing the environmental impact of new technologies. Chris also co-founded Covet CLR, aimed at developing sustainable networks. Educational qualifications encompass degrees from Queen's University Belfast, University College Dublin, and Regent House Grammar School.
