Tom Owen

Tom Owen is an experienced professional in international business development, currently serving as the International Business Development Manager at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers since March 2015. In this role, Tom focuses on expanding global membership and fostering relationships with key engineering companies to support the professional growth of engineers and technicians. Prior to this position, Tom held roles at the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, including Head of Membership and Professional Development, where responsibilities included developing departmental business plans and membership strategies, as well as team management. Tom began a career in professional development at CIWEM, progressing from Professional Development Coordinator to Membership and Professional Development Manager. Tom holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Technology from the University of Bath, obtained in 2004.
