Jason Sass

Jason Sass currently serves as the Deputy General Counsel at the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer, where responsibilities include supervising a legal team that supports the Investment Management Division and the Supplemental Retirement Plan. Prior to this role, Jason acted as Assistant General Counsel within the same department and held various positions in legal and compliance roles across organizations such as CDIB Capital Group, Barnett Capital Ltd., and Paul Hastings. Jason's extensive experience encompasses areas such as investment transactions, regulatory compliance, risk management, and real estate finance, complemented by involvement in legal advisory for the Institutional Limited Partners Association. Jason holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies from Iowa State University, alongside Mandarin language studies in Taiwan.
