Kevin Mctavish

Kevin McTavish been a member of the IREI board since 2012 and Chairman since 2015. He currently is Managing Director of Westport Capital UK, LLP where he is responsible for acquisitions and asset management in Europe, based in London. He has over 30 years experience in the real estate covering a wide range of activities and assets, ranging from due diligence and acquisitions, development, portfolio & asset management and dispositions. Prior to Westport he was a Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Colony Capital. At Colony he was a member of both the Investment Committee and Major Asset Review Committee as well serving on the boards of several publicly traded and private companies. He led Colony’s efforts to develop offices in Japan and Korea. Prior to Colony he worked for the Robert Bass Group in Ft. Worth, Texas where he was a founder of Lone Star Opportunity Fund. Prior to a career in real estate, he served a tour in Naval Aviation as a Mission Commander on the P3 Orion aircraft. He earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he was a member of the varsity football team.
