We are a non-profit civil association, founded in 2008 in the city of Santos to combat marine pollution and the degradation of aquatic ecosystems through the elaboration of projects, development of research and promotion of public policies, having as a strategy the containment of solid waste floating areas, the recovery of degraded areas and the reduction of irregular occupations in areas of permanent preservation. The EcoFaxina Institute organizes voluntary actions for cleaning natural areas which, in addition to making society aware of the sources that generate marine pollution, are a research and citizen science tool that, through awareness raising and teamwork, provide a new perspective on this environmental problem for those who participate or follow the work.
