Laura Portuondo

Laura Portuondo is an experienced mechanical engineer and educator with a strong background in technology development and innovation. Currently serving as Lead Mechanical Engineer at Eaton since August 2021, Laura focuses on the research and development of IoT and connected solutions. In addition to engineering roles at Eaton, Laura has been a University Lecturer at Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo since May 2018, teaching courses in product design and development. Previous experience includes senior and project engineering positions at Edwards Lifesciences, project consultancy at Moldestudio, and various design roles. Laura holds a Master's Degree in Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship from Newcastle University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Product Design from Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo.
