Matt Kaminer

Matt Kaminer is the current Chief Legal & People Officer at Instructure. Prior to this, they worked as the General Counsel and Secretary at Collective from June 2013 to May 2015. In this role, they advised management on a wide range of legal matters and advised the CEO and board of directors on corporate planning, M&A transactions, intellectual property, and data privacy. Matt also structured and managed the company’s internal legal function and staff, as well as the legal budget.

From June 2011 to July 2013, Kaminer worked as the General Counsel and Secretary at Epocrates. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company’s legal and business affairs, as well as the company’s public company reporting obligations and corporate secretarial functions. Matt also served as a key legal and business advisor on major business transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Prior to their work at Epocrates, Kaminer served as the General Counsel at MediMedia USA from January 2010 to June 2011.

Matt Kaminer has a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University.

A direct report to Matt Kaminer is and Daisy Bennett - Privacy Officer. They work with Steve Townsend - SVP, Engineering, Joanna Fankhauser - SVP, Business Intelligence & Operations, and Melissa Loble - Chief Customer Experience Officer. Matt Kaminer reports to Steve Daly, CEO.
