Aitor Alférez Plaza

Aitor Alférez Plaza has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Aitor started their career at Laboratorios Rubió in 2014 as an Rx Business Development Manager, where they were responsible for seeking and managing new licensing-in opportunities and establishing partnerships. Aitor also attended pharmaceutical fairs and conferences to identify potential projects of high interest and potential. In 2017, they joined Italfarmaco as a Business Development Manager, focusing on in-licensing projects in various therapeutic fields such as CNS, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Women's Health, Respiratory, and Primary Care. Aitor conducted benchmark analyses and actively searched for prescription drugs, medical devices, and food supplements with scientific support to offer new alternatives to physicians. Aitor then joined Adalvo in 2021 as a Director of Business Development, where they continued to showcase their skills in identifying business opportunities and product specialization. Aitor later assumed the role of Senior Director of Business Development and Product Specialist until 2022. Currently, Aitor works at Insud Pharma as the Director of Portfolio & Alliance Management.

Aitor Alférez Plaza pursued a Licentiate degree in Pharmacy at Universidad de Granada from 2007 to 2012. Following that, they obtained a Master's degree in Research, Development and Control of drugs from Universitat de Barcelona in 2013 and 2014. Aitor later completed an Executive programme in Business Development and Licensing at CESIF in 2017. In 2021, Aitor attended CESIF again for an Executive programme in Market access.
