Dan Sloat

Dan Sloat, PhD, is a seasoned UX professional with extensive experience in user experience design and strategy across various organizations. Currently serving as Principal UX Designer at Insulet Corporation since December 2024, Sloat previously held the same title at athenahealth, where significant accomplishments included the integration of AI in design guidance and the development of foundational UX documentation. At Fresenius Medical Care North America, Sloat was Sr. Director of User Experience Strategy, leading a global UX initiative and pioneering a community of around 400 professionals. A record of success in building teams and advancing UX methodologies is complemented by nine patents in User Experience innovations. Sloat’s career also encompasses roles at TriNetX, GE Healthcare, and other notable companies, showcasing a commitment to excellence in user experience across the healthcare and technology sectors. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Systems Science, an MS in Systems Science, a BS in Registered Nursing, and a BA in Cognitive Psychology from Binghamton University.
