Tim Grooms

Tim Grooms joined IAS in 1989 as an Accounting Manager and is currently the Director of Finance overseeing all finance related areas within the company including Treasury, Premium and Commission Accounting, Reinsurance Administration and Financial Reporting. In addition to managing the finance team, Mr. Grooms oversees the Mailroom and Imaging operations.

Prior to joining IAS Mr. Grooms worked for an insurance company preparing premium tax filings and handling investment accounting for two different carriers. Prior to entering the insurance field Mr. Grooms worked a few years for a mapping company as an Assistant Manager producing various kinds of digital maps.

In addition to his experience, Mr. Grooms is a Certified Management Accountant and is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute. Mr. Grooms earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from the University of South Florida.
