Brett Weltman

Brett Weltman is a seasoned communications professional with experience in media relations and public policy. Currently serving as Manager of Media Relations at the Insurance Bureau of Canada since June 2022, Brett previously held the position of Director of Communications for Ontario's first Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions from July 2019 to June 2022. Additional roles include Press Secretary for the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, as well as a Policy Intern at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Brett completed a Master of Public Policy at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hon.) in Criminal Justice from Humber College. Early career experiences include data transcription and research assistance at Humber College and insight into collision reconstruction at Advantage Forensics Inc.
