Mark Cripps

Mark Cripps is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various roles across the public and private sectors. Currently serving as Communications Manager at the Insurance Bureau of Canada since April 2019, Mark previously held the position of Director of Communications and Press Secretary at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Ministry of Agriculture and Food from September 2013 to October 2018. In this role, Mark directed all external communications and media relations, achieving significant legislative communication milestones. As Publisher and Editor of YourHamiltonBiz.com, Mark successfully led a start-up team, developed a subscription-based editorial model, and enhanced community engagement. Mark's career includes serving as Press Secretary for the Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and Managing Editor at Hamilton Community News, where Mark garnered multiple awards for excellence in journalism. Mark holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Ryerson School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Carleton University.
