Bogdan Jarnea has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Bogdan started their career as a J2EE/JAVA Developer at Rowin International in 2004. Bogdan then moved on to work as a Consultant at Austral Trade for a brief period from November 2004 to February 2005. After that, they joined Nortal in February 2005, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Team Leader for over a decade. During their time at Nortal, they were involved in developing web applications in various industries such as commodity trading, telecom, finance, and eGovernment. Bogdan's achievements at Nortal include developing proof of concept solutions for complex requirements.
In 2015, Bogdan joined Insurance Business Applications as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead. In this role, they were responsible for implementing new features for an insurance business platform used by top insurance companies. Bogdan worked with a technology stack that included AWS, Java 8, Spring, Struts2, Hibernate, Javascript, SQL, Oracle, and Liquibase. Bogdan also played a key role in coordinating the development team, estimating development times for new features, participating in the recruiting process, knowledge sharing, and linking between the BA team and core dev team. Bogdan worked closely with the Devops team to ensure smooth platform functionality and deployments, and also assisted the Support team.
Bogdan Jarnea obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, where they studied from 1999 to 2004.
